    Funding:

All our members rely entirely on either a minimal government grant of R820. Due to the high unemployment rate in Lwandle (52%), Nomzamo (51%), Chris Nissen Park (50%), Macassar (30%) and Garden Village (29%), this grant is often used to support unemployed children and grandchildren. Members are therefore able to contribute only a very small amount towards the running costs of the centres, whilst they do generate funds from the sale of their handwork, but this amount is often low and unreliable.
