Assisted living
Some years ago the Society identified a need that extended to meals and laundry but not necessarily to 24 hour care the “assisted living” concept was born. Our first attempt, in 2004, turned one wing of Helderberg Lodge, situated in Vonke Park, into Batavia Place. The successes of this venture lead us into converting one wing of Silver Oaks Lodge, situated in Reitz Street, into Primrose.

Frail care
The third phase of the Society's care for the older person is that of 24 hour frail care. Supervised by professionals, our well-trained staff take care of the tasks of daily living of our physically and mentally frail residents in four separate facilities.
