Volunteer 'Help us' Program
Sharing your energy with older persons will enrich your life in unexpected ways. Not only will this service as a volunteer for the Society broaden your horizons, it also will add a new dimension to your time. Making new friends, improving your skills and a feeling of well-being are but a few of the benefits you stand to gain. Services that enhance the quality of life of our residents and service centre members are wide and varied and include:
o  Entertainment by playing a musical instrument or as accompaniment to a
   choir
o  singing
o  assisting with art or handcrafts
o  reading books to the visually challenged
o  mending clothes
o  using your pets to provide animal therapy

On a different note, you could also:
o  provide transport
o  help in the kiosks
o  assist with games and exercises
o  walk with residents
o  lead discussion groups
o  put on film or video shows
o  help at fund raising events.

Rest assured that, whatever your skill or talent, every contribution counts. The three minutes it takes to complete an application form could be the most celebrated decision you've ever made.
